I made it to Arizona!!

So im in mesa now. The weather here is beautiful! It was great being able to hear our teachers in the mtc speak for the first time. So 2:45am we woke up then at 3:30am we loaded our stuff on a truck then got on the bus went on two trains then flew to Phoenix. The plane ride was great. So an Elder on the opposite side of me sat next to an rlds member I couldnt hear what they were talking about but it sounded like he was bashing us but he was actually telling him about the history of the rlds church. So we were picked up by the mission president then they drove us to the mesa temple which is gorgeous. Then we went to the mission office and then went to the mission home to take a nap. We were then picked up by our day trainers and i went with two english elders. The next day was transfer meeting and i got assigned elder Jackson as my companion! He is a great companion and is helping me learn sign language very well. He is also deaf so i have alot to learn from him, he is very patient with my beginner level signing. So here we run to alot of cool places. We also are preparing for the 5k the whole mission will run next monday. We ran to temple and because i am for sure out of shape it was hard. So I compared it to enduring to the end. We ran to the temple and it was hard. I got to the temple but wasnt done yet, I had to keep going, and Elder jackson boosted me up and helped me to get back to our car. Our goal is not only the temple but to keep doing our best even after we get to the temple and until the end. So we have been visiting the members here every day. They are all super awesome. The laguange is awesome. I am improving i think, and am trying my best to understand what is being signed. Everyone is so fast at signing and when they sign to me they sign really slow, like you would in any language to the beginners. Our branch president is super funny. He reminds me so much of my uncle Drew. 

Week 2 

So this past week has been awesome. We visited alot of members of the branch and we get fed alot. We walked into cafe rio and went to order. Turns out someone payed for our food. The first night we got groceries and a member hands us a 40 dollar gift card and another hands us 10 bucks. Today we went shopping for lunch at walmart and a vehicle coordinator from a different mission offers to pay for our lunch. We get free car washes because that is owned by a member and we get free haircuts from a member as well. Its weird how many members there are everywhere you go compared to California. We will walk into some store or something and someone will say " Hey Elders!!" almost always. So last pday we played laser tag as a zone at the biggest place i think in america. It had 3 levels you could go on. Super fun! So we teach 3 asl classes. One in gilbert on wednesday one in mesa on thursday and every 2 weeks we will teach one all the way down in yuma. Those are alot of fun and we have a really good turn out at the mesa class. I like driving to the gilbert class because we drive right by the gilbert temple and it is really beautiful. I made my favorite food for the four of us this week. Bisquits and gravy! Everyone loved it except elder jackson cant eat gluten so he didnt eat it. But i will make something else for him soon. So this past week we found our first investigator! We drove all the way to san carlos to meet him. I am excited to start teaching him this next week. We also found another person as we were taking a walk yesterday around our apartment complex getting some fresh air. He speaks english so i had to interpret (or attempt to interpret) for my companion. He seemed really interested, we gave him a book of mormon and told him to read the intoduction and pray to know if it is true. We will pass him off to the english missionaries. I really love being a missionary and love being here. It has been an awesome and busy past two weeks. The members and my branch are so great.
