There are truly amazing people in this world

so you wont believe what happened. So i get on the plane right, with my missionary pass along cards ready to talk to the people around me cause my seat was in the middle and im a fresh missioanry and what do fresh misionaries do? So i sit down in between two middle aged men. The one to my right put his headphones in the whole time probably to avoid me, but the one to my left turned out he was a member, his name is Brother D. He is SO AWESOME. So we chatted a little bit then told him where i was going and how i was an asl missionary and all that. He told me that he was raised in the church but let the church for various reasons at the age of 14 then came back when he was 41. He is currently is the young mens president. He told me how he loves hearing from his missionaries that were previously in his quorum. We listened for a while to the missionary on the opposite side b/c he got sat next to what turned out to be an R.L.D.S member. I couldnt hear alot of what he said but "Brother D." could. So i told him about how i wondered if deaf can feel the spirit more often than hearing can b/c then dont have all the annoying noise and distractions that we do. He was really interested in that question. so then I told him more about my life and ben and about your cancer mom and how currently my dad is out of a job and how grateful i am now that i dont have to put that burden (well not a burden- you know what i mean) on your shoulders to pay for me. He ended up telling me how his wife left the church b/c she got into some gnarly drugs and such. and then she went to rehab and now they are both active. And she currently worked with the church to make the 12 step program and the 12 step to change and how they travel the country giving presentations. So what does Brother D. do? he feels so inspired, he pulls out his wallet and says"heres my card" and hands me a 100 dollar bill. I declined but he insisted i take it. WOW what a miracle that was. He didnt know that i am in need of a suit and he just handed me money. we exchanged emails and i thanked him profusely and hugged him. Dad will you please email him and tell him about how he truly left an impact on me please? It truly was an inspiring and spiritual experience for me. There truly are amazing and giving people in this world.
