Hello all wonderful people! This is a happy and wonderful time to
remember The Savior and what he did for us.
We gave talks in Sacrament Meeting about The Gospel of Jesus Christ,
Elder Stoker talked about How Through Christ we can be Cleansed from
Sin, and Faith, then I talked about Repentance and Baptism, and Elder
Jackson talked about Holy Ghost Gift receive, and Endure to the End.
You can compare The Gospel of Jesus Christ like a train. Christ is the
Engine car, he is what makes movement and progress even possible. And
each car behind it is Faith, Repentance, Baptism, Holy Ghost Gift
Receive, Endure to End. And each car is connected to the one before.
If we don't have Faith then we don't have the rest of the points, same
with Repentance, if we don't Repent then we can't be Baptized and so
on till Endure to the End. All are necessary for Salvation.
The Gospel is true!
We met a few anti this week but I always leave having a stronger
testimony of The Gospel. Arguing back usually isn't the best thing to
do because their primary purpose is to prove their knowledge not
necessarily to hear what we have to say. So we just testify of the
things we know to be true and extend commitments.
We had our every transfer Temple trip and it is always a wonderful
experience. This time the Mission President, President Townsend and
his wife joined us. After we had a mini zone conference. It was mainly
focused on the Savior and having "Daily Bread" or Daily Manna. We take
life one day at a time. That is especially important as we struggle.
The daily need for Spiritual Sustenance is just as strong as the need
for physical sustenance like eating food and drinking water.
We had our combined branch party at the Phoenix branch and it was lots
of fun. No one was assigned to dress as Santa so they Improvised and
had hip Santa
Also 2 recent converts from our branch went to the temple for the
first time and were sealed for time and all eternity! It was a great
experience.
We went on an Exchange with Elder Mathis into the east asl area. It
was lots of fun. We learned a little bit more about Sign language from
a member in gold canyon.
Love you all! Hope you have a fantastic week!
Have a Happy Christmas
Elder Stotts
